The Book of Knowledge in Valhalla allows Eivor to learn new abilities which gives him an edge on the battlefield. Some abilities are tactical and some deal a high amount of damage. However, these books are scattered all over the map and need to be discovered in order to learn a particular ability.

In order to find the book of knowledge, you have to reach Venonis, the ruins to the west of Raventhorpe.
Once you get to the ruins look for an underneath passage. There will be a ladder that would guide you down.
Climb down the ladder and go straight and then right. Go down the stairs and follow the passageway to a breakable door that looks like this.
Smash open the door and jump down into the water. Swim forward and climb the ledge to the left and you will find yet another breakable door. This time use the jar to blast it open. There you go, the book of knowledge will be right in front of you. Just interact with it and you will learn the ability “Harpoon Impalement“.
This skill is very useful early on in the game and it is easy to collect. The ability allows you to impale an enemy with your harpoon and throw him to another enemy or a group of enemies dealing a high amount of damage. Very useful for crowd control and is one of the best offensive melee skills you can learn in the game. Enjoy the game.
