We are all familiar with the most famous FPS game franchise of all time Counter-Strike. Their last installment, Global Offensive, was by far the most successful. And to date, you can see a million players online at any given time.
Despite the huge popularity of CS GO, the users wanted a change. There were rumors about the game being shifted to the Source 2 Engine a few years back until Valve finally reveals Counter-Strike 2 in 2023.

When is Counter Strike 2 (CS2) going to Release?
There had been a lot of rumors on when CS2 will release officially. Most of them, however, turned out to be misleading. If we think about it, there is still no news related to the actual Release Date of the game.
Valve had pretty much managed to veil the reveal date by throwing out to the fans that the game would be released anytime in the “Summer of 2023″.
Technically “Summer” cannot be a date. It is literally a span of 4 months. The game could come out anytime within these 4 months. And now we are in the middle of August (at the time of writing this article), still waiting patiently for CS2 to drop.
So when exactly do we get CS 2?
Considering the fact that Valve is still working on the maps, we won’t be getting the game any time soon. Only a few maps have been tested so far.
However, a few randomly selected users along with renowned streamers and pro players have access to the beta.
There is still a lot of work that needs to be put into the project. So don’t expect the game to come out anytime during August.
Late September does seem like an appropriate time for release. Summer in the USA normally lasts till the 21st of September. So the last week of the month would be my guess.
So if you are eagerly waiting for CS 2, I would suggest you utilize the time left to either hone your CS GO skills or build up a solid inventory as a business strategy. Skin prices would be going up after CS2 is released.
