One of the most interesting aspects of RE 4 was the puzzles. Some of them were extremely difficult as you would have no clue what to do and some were easy. In chapter 9 there is a puzzle in the dining room where you are supposed to collect the Serpent’s head from.
However, the artifact is locked in a case that will open only if you manage to solve the puzzle. The tough part is that you won’t even understand that there is a puzzle you need to solve until you roam around the dining room. Here is how you can easily solve this puzzle and save a lot of your time.

At the end of the dining room, there would be a picture of the King and the Queen sitting for a meal. Notice the pictures carefully as they would give you clues to the puzzle. See whatever is there in front of them.
The king would have:
- Three Knives
- Two Forks
- One Spoon
- A Wine bottle
- A Wine glass
- A plate with a folded napkin
- A Sweet Potato on a plate
The Queen would have:
- Two Knives
- A Wine Glass
- Empty Plate
- A Froke and a Spoon.
- A Folded Napkin on a plate
You need to order the same food as the picture. Look for the spot on the Dining Table which matches the pictures. Sit on the chair and then ring the bell.
You need to order Ashley to sit on one chair while you sit on the other.
Make Ashley sit at the first dining table in the exact chair shown in the picture.

These two chairs have the same things as the picture. All you need to do now is ring the bell and the Case would be unlocked. You can collect the Serpent’s head and progress further in the story.
