EA FC 25 is finally out on all platforms and the reviews are not impressive at all. Many users are still convinced about the the latest installment being a repackaged FC 24 and not a brand-new game. Leaving gameplay features out of the story, EA has still got to work on their servers as most of the player base has been complaining for years about Input Delay and Slow Gameplay.
Here is a guide on what you could do from your end to fix this slow gameplay problem with FC25 Ultimate Team.
This Is How You Can Fix Slow Gameplay:
Ultimate Team is a highly competitive mode where even the slightest of delays could cost you a match. Online matchmaking is never fair when your opponent is enjoying the pleasures of minimum latency while you have to run a bunch of sloths across the pitch. To avoid getting steamrolled in this “Ferrari vs Trucks” situation we have got a few steps that could potentially help you overcome such a problem.
Use a Wired Connection:
Don’t be and I repeat, do not be the “Wi-Fi dude”. Wired connections are the way to go when it comes to online gaming. It has very little data loss giving you a more stable connection.
Adjust the Graphics Settings:
Playing the game on Ultra Settings could result in you having a very high frame time during online play. A frame time is the time between two frames divided by the refresh rate of your monitor. The higher the frame time, the more sluggish the gameplay. Lower your visual settings to get lesser frame time and faster gameplay. Also, make sure V-Sync is Off. V-Sync gives you input delay by trying to sync two frames for a smoother gameplay experience.
Server Load:
Playing during peak hours is a big NO. This would be during the evening when people return from work and hop into Ultimate Team. I understand that you may have work during the day and you need your nighttime sleep but to experience the best gameplay you would need to play during hours when the Servers are not packed with people. Loaded Servers will result in input delay and slow gameplay.
Camera Angle:
From a personal experience, I could conclude that setting a Camera Angle closer to the pitch gave me faster gameplay. This is because less of the pitch is rendered and it gave me faster frame time. A camera angle set further away renders more of the pitch and gameplay becomes slower.
Avoid Downloading While Playing:
This is kind of a no-brainer. Do not download anything while you are playing online in FC25. Pause all your downloads during the gameplay or simply do them while you are in the Menus.
Location:
Lastly, your geographical location is perhaps the biggest reason why you have input delay and slow gameplay. EA has simply not set up servers everywhere in the world. The further you stay from the server the more your ping and the worse your gameplay experience would be. This is something you have no control over and re-locating for a video game is not an option. This is something you just have to accept and move on. The best you can do is try out the steps mentioned above. Even though it would not make a huge difference if you stayed very far from the server, you still have nothing to lose right?
Well, that is all you need to know about fixing input delay and slow gameplay.
