FIFA 21 is the most eagerly awaited sports game especially for the football lovers out there . A lot of new features and game mechanics were introduced in the trailer. The game looks impressive this year too .

Like every year the game plays pretty well on all platforms including PC . But some of the users this year had complained about the game crashing now and then. Especially in the Fifa Ultimate Team Transfer Market. Mostly when you place bid on a player.

Now we all know how annoying crashes could be in FIFA . Crash mean that you have forfeited the game and you get an instant loss even though you were winning the game. So how do we get it fixed ?

FIFA 21 – CRASHING In FUT Transfer Market Fixed / Performance Issue

There could be many reasons for the game to crash. could be an issue with the hardware or it could be corrupted game files. Since we cannot pin point the exact cause of the issue we can follow certain number of steps to fix the problem .

Making sure that your PC can run the game :

FIFA is addiction for football fans. And users would literally do anything to try and run the game .  At times users would try to run the game even without a proper setup. FIFA had always been hardware friendly . It can even run on PCs which does not even meet the minimum requirements . But it surely takes a toll on the performance as the CPU usage goes very high and the game eventually crashes.

So in order to get this fixed we need to make sure that we have atleast the minimum requirements to run the game at Lower rendering Quality .

Minimum Requirements :

  • CPU: Athlon X4 880K / Core i3-6100 or better
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 64-Bit
  • VIDEO CARD: Radeon HD 7850 or better/GeForce GTX 660 or better
  • PIXEL SHADER: 5.0
  • VERTEX SHADER: 5.0
  • FREE DISK SPACE: 50 GB

Recommended Requirements :

  • CPU: AMD FX 8150 / Core i5-3550 or better
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • OS: Windows 10 64-Bit
  • VIDEO CARD: Radeon R9 270x or better/GeForce GTX 670 or better
  • PIXEL SHADER: 5.0
  • VERTEX SHADER: 5.0
  • FREE DISK SPACE: 50 GB

Keep Your Video Drivers Updated :

Outdated video drivers could very well be the cause of the game cashing . Video drivers are essential when it comes to performance . Hence make sure you have updated video drivers. You can check below for updating your video driver :

Repair FIFA 21 Game Files (Origin and Steam) :

There are chance that a file or two might get corrupted while installing the game or after updating the game. Origin and Steam allows you to verify the game files and repair them if in case a file is corrupted or missing . This is perhaps the most important step that could help you fix random crashes for FIFA 21.

Origin :

  • Launch Origin
  • On the left panel select My Game Library
  • Select FIFA 21
  • Right Click over the game and Click on Repair
  • It will take a while depending on the size of the game and then you re launch the game.

  • Click on Verify Integrity of Game Files
  • It will take some time depending on the game size. You can re launch the game after it is done.

Disabling Steam and Origin Overlays could do the Trick :

Maybe the in-game overlays might be responsible for the crash. Lets try and disable the overlays from both Origin and Steam :

Origin:

  • Launch Origin
  • On the left panel select My Game Library
  • Select FIFA 21
  • Right Click on the game and Click on Game Properties
  • Then under General Tab uncheck the box next to Enable Origin In Game For Star Wars : Squadron
  • Then click on Save
  • Restart Origin and re launch the game .

Steam :

  • From the left panel select FIFA 21
  • Right click on FIFA 21 and select Properties
  • Click on General Tab
  • Uncheck the box next to Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game.
  • Restart Steam and re launch the game .

Nvidia GeForce Experience Overlay should be Off (Nvidia users only)

The Nvidia GeForce Experience Overlay comes with a lot of Nvidia apps running along with it. These apps increase the cpu usage which might result in the game crashing. Even though the Geforce Experience is a very useful app in its own way but if you want a smooth and interrupted gameplay then keeping the overlay off is the best option for you. This is how you do it :

  • Start Nvidia Geforce Experience
  • Click on the Settings icon on the top right
  • Select the General Tab
  • Turn Off In-Game Overlay
  • Restart your PC

Update Windows :

What users tend to ignore is the windows updates. An outdated windows version might affect the performance of a game. Certain games require the latest windows builds. Hence always keep your OS Updated . Here is how you update your OS :

  • Go to Update & Security
  • Click on Check for updates
  • Wait for the updates to get installed
  • Restart your PC

As I said before , FIFA had always been hardware friendly . They game almost never has performance issues . Hence following these steps would very well help you fix any crash related issues . In case the issue still persists then you would have to wait for a fix since the problem could be from the developers side .
