Which Edition to pick?

So, like every year the Ultimate and Champions editions always have something more to offer. However , if we check the price tag on the Ultimate Edition we can see that there is a hefty $40 difference with the Standard Edition on PC and $35 on consoles. So where does this leave us ? Basically we are paying EA $40 dollars for 21 more Rare Gold Packs for 12 weeks , a 3 day early access and a Ones to Watch Item .

Are these worth it? Definitely not in my opinion . 21 Rare Gold Packs can help you out or maybe increase your chances of getting a good pull if you were to open it all at once . 2 over 12 weeks seems less profitable . Now we all know how low the chances are of pulling an 88+ player from a Rare Gold Pack . There are users who had spent almost half a year without getting a decent pull and you would open a lot more packs in 6 months . Definitely not worth a gamble . The 45k ,50k and the 100k packs have far better drop rates than the Rare Gold pack.

Now 3 days early access seems to excite a lot of users . But is it really worth it ? If you ask me I would say no. Why? Well, how much can we do in 3 days, only experience the gameplay and try to snipe cards in the transfer market . Remember, only the people who Pre-ordered Champions and the Ultimate editions will be online . That is not the entire community and it would not make a huge difference . The transfer market would not have enough cards in the first place which would obviously mean really high prices for lower rated cards. If it had been like a 7 day early access then probably if would still have been worth a shot .

A Limited Time bonus on a Ones to Watch Card might be something which we would love to have . Stats on the ones to watch cards change according to their highest weekly informs. But if that player does not get an inform card for a year or even half a year , we will basically be stuck with a gold card until he gets an inform. Ones to watch cards go for a really high value early on in the game but the one we are getting is untradeable and so we cannot sell that card. We have to pray that the player on our OTW card plays well every week and gets more inform cards so that we get the upgrades on our OTW card. Is it worth a gamble ? Once again I would say no. Over the years we have seen many OTW cards which do not get a single upgrade throughout the year . For example Joao Felix OTW card did not receive a single upgrade through out the year in FIFA 20.

So, this leaves us wondering if the Champions and the Ultimate edition is actually worth it? If you are a regular gamer , I would say these Editions are not for you. Save your money and get the Standard Edition instead . But if you are an YouTuber or a Content writer then you might want to get any of the higher editions for the 3 days early access. We know how important the early access is to a streamer.
