Fix No Referee in Custom Arena Glitch WWE 2K23- WWE 2K23 is officially released on all major platforms. The game last year was actually one of the better WWE games I had played in recent years and WWE 2K23 seems to improve on that as well.

I have always been a fan of wrestling and ever since I was a kid I grew up idolizing these superstars. Therefore WWE games get me a bit too excited. However, that does not mean I would simply overlook the bugs and glitches present in a game. Every game comes with its share of bugs and WWE 2K23 is no different.

I remember when WWE 2K20 was released and the game was almost a glitch fest. This year the game is nothing like 2K20 but it certainly has more bugs than WWE 2K22.

One of the bugs that I encountered was that there was no referee in a Custom Arena that you downloaded from the Community Creations or created yourself.

To be honest, I am not a huge fan of the lighting in some arenas which is why I play most of my exhibition matches in Custom Arenas where I can edit the lighting and make it look more real.

But it seems like there is an annoying bug where you do not get to see a referee in your match. Not that it affects your gameplay but it takes away the realism from your game.

You can see what I am talking about in the picture. There is no referee in the game. The funny part is when you pin the opponent, the crowd chants the counts for you since there is no ref. It is kind of like when the ref is knocked out in real life and the crowd chants the pin counts for you.

In this guide, I will help with a fix that could temporarily solve the problem.

How to Fix the Problem?

There is no official fix to this yet. These glitches or bugs normally get fixed permanently through patches. But since the game is only in its early access stages, I doubt if many people have noticed it. Here is what you need to do:

• Go to Creations
• Now head to Shows
• Select whichever show this problem is occurring on. For me, it is on all the Custom Shows. Select the show you would like to play on.
• Now select Edit
• Go to Referee and select any random referee except for the one you originally had. For example, if you have a Standard Referee, select WCW Referee or Old School Referee, or any other ref.
• Save the change. (Might also work if you do not save)
• Go back to Edit again and change back to the Referee you actually want.
• Save the changes again

The next time you play a match on that Show you will get to see the Referee as you normally should. This is just a temporary fix and the devs should probably fix it with a patch soon. Until then you would have to follow these steps to ensure that the ref is there in custom arenas.

The sad part is that you might have to repeat this more times than you think. I really wish this gets fixed soon.
