Horizon Zero Dawn has been ported to PC. Like all other ports, this one too has performance issues. Let’s see which graphics settings actually work well. You can try tweaking the settings and keep checking the benchmark.
Horizon Zero Dawn Best Graphics Settings for No Lag and FPS Drops
Best Settings :
- Preset – Original
- Textures – Medium
- Model Quality – Medium
- Shadows – Low
- Reflections – Medium
- Clouds – Low
- Anti-aliasing – Camera Based
- Motion Blur – Off
- Ambient occlusion – Original
Specifications we used to test :
- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
- GPU: AMD RX 580
- RAM : 16GB DDR4 3000mhz
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (Version 2004)
- HDD: 1 TB 7200 rpm
- Monitor Resolution: 1920×1080
- Driver: Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.4.2
This would work fine for an average PC like the one we used. High-end PCs would definitely do a lot better. The game is very poorly optimized and is a disappointment nonetheless. Make sure that you play the game at native resolution. That is if you have a 1080p monitor you should play the game at 1920*1080p. If you go beyond that resolution you can use Render Scale and lower the value to get better FPS. Enjoy the game.
