How to Make Biofuel in Raft
Raft is a survival game like none other. It is not a survival horror game nor is it the typical battle royal that we get nowadays.
The concept is very unique where you are left alone on a Raft with nothing but a hook. This is where you would have to survive and build yourself a floating home. You could also play the game along with a friend.
Around you would be nothing but vast ocean and islands. Collecting resources would be key and you have to use whatever you could find for your survival.
How to make Biofuel Refiner :
There are a lot of resources and materials you could find in the game. Biofuel is one of the most important ones. Crafting this resource could actually be tricky which is why we are here.
In order to make Biofuel in Raft you would need a Biofuel Refiner. For that, you would need a blueprint. To get the blueprint that would help you craft the Biofuel Refiner you have to go to the Ranger Station on Balboa Island.
Once you get the Blueprint head to your Research Lab and learn to make Biofuel Refiner. Then you would require these resources to build one :
- 12x Plastic
- 10x Planks
- 4x Ropes
- Bolt
- Hinge
Once you craft the refiner you would need Raw food and Honey to make Biofuel.
The Biofuel that you use would actually depend on the quantity of raw food that you use. For example: if you are using potatoes as the raw food then you would need 20 of them along with 1 unit of honey to make 1 unit of Biofuel. The higher the quality of food the lower the raw quantity you would need.
The Refiner could hold 2 units of Biofuel but only 1 unit of honey. So you need to put another unit of honey to make the second unit of Biofuel. You need to wait 3 minutes and 30 seconds to make 1 unit of Biofuel.
How to Store and Use Biofuel :
The Engine on the Raft has a fuel capacity of 50 while Biofuel has 60. You would lose 10 units if you try to use the fuel directly which does not make sense. In order to store the extra 10 units or rather save that you would need a Biofuel Tank that you can craft in your research lab.
The Biofuel tank can be connected to the engine with pipes and that would supply the engine with Biofuel constantly. 1 Biofuel Tank be filled using 4 Biofuel Cans from the Biofuel Refiner.
To craft the Biofuel Tank you would have to research it with the blueprint. Once you are done you would require these materials to craft :
- 25x Plastic
- 10x Planks
- 6x Scraps
- 2x Bolts
Once crafted, place it on a safe and steady surface and try not to move it. If you do you would lose fuel. Then just connect the tank to the engine or battery using pipes and you are good to go.
