How to Win with and Manage Haas in F1 Manager 2022

This guide will help you understand how to manage Team Haas in the F1 Manager 2022 Career Mode.

How to Win with and Manage Haas in F1 Manager 2022

F1 Manager 2022 is the first installment after the last F1 Manager game developed by EA. It seems like Frontier Development did an amazing job trying to create the best and the most technical manager game for Formula 1, 2, and 3 Championships.

This is not easy by any means as the amount of detail you have to look into is a bit too much for a newcomer to enjoy. However, if you get the hang of it or if you actually watch F1 then this could be super addictive and fun for you.

How to Manage Haas in F1 Manager 2022 :

Let us first talk about the team. Haas Formula LLC, competing as Haas F1 Team, is an American-licensed Formula One racing team established by NASCAR Cup Series team co-owner Gene Haas in April 2014. The team originally intended to make its debut at the start of the 2015 season but later elected to postpone its entry until the 2016 season.

To be honest, they are not like Ferrari or Red Bull, they do not have the best drivers nor do they have the best staff. here take a look at the team stats before you start off with them :

  • Season Objective: 6th Place
  • Long-Term Objective:  Podium Contender
  • Starting Budget: Low
  • Car Performance: 7th place
  • Drivers : Kevin Magnussen (80) and Mick Schumacher (76)
  • Staff Performance: 10th place
  • Headquarters: 10th place

They have the worst HQ and the worst Staff. However, they can still work on a bit with the car but you have to execute some super strategies to get successful with this team.

To be honest there is not fun playing with Red Bull or Ferrari because they already have the best of the best. So if you are looking for some challenge you could very well start off with a weaker one and take them to glory. It is a lot more satisfying trust me.

Upgrades you need to make at the beginning :

You need to make a few upgrades before starting off with practice sessions and racing. Always try to focus on what is weak with the team. These are the upgrade you need to make.

Go to Facilities > Operations Facilities > Upgrade Board Room

This gives you a boost with Race Confidence which is required for securing better positions in the race.

Go to Facilities > Car Development Facilities > Upgrade CFD Simulator

Over here you would have to spend $ 10 million on upgrading the CFD Simulator. Go for it

Staff management :

The Team has the worst Staff so you might have to hire better staff early on. Select the weaker staff and try to replace him. Go to :

Staff > Scout Key Staff

The weakest staff member would be Race Engineer Gary Gannon (70).

After Selecting Scout Key Staff click on Race Engineer and sort by rating.  Check out the highest-rated staff who is open to negotiation.

I found Jorn Becker and he Open To Negotiation so I offered him a contract.

I just used the minimum values available and offered him the contract for 1 season. Make sure you select Car 1.

Car Project that you need early on :

The Cars in the team isn’t the worst but it is definitely worse than mediocre. Trying to take on the super-fast cars of Ferrari and Red Bull might prove really difficult. The best you could do is build on Cornering and Low Speeds at first.

Cars > Car Parts Development > New Project > Design > Front Wing

Yes, we need to upgrade the Front Wing of the car to gain Low-Speed performance.

Make sure you do these :

  • CFD MAU Hours: 6.9
  • Wind Tunnel Hours: 92

Keep the Design Focus on Low-Speed Performance.

Now put the number of engineers to 6 and the Approach as Normal.

It will cost you about $ 810, so go ahead and do it.

The next that you have to do will be Race Management. We have just the right guide for you to understand what strategies to use for the races and how to do Tyre management as well.

The Career Mode is lengthy and it would be pretty difficult to explain the entire thing through a guide. There is no one way to success. The only difference is whether you choose the shorter route. If you head in the right direction things will fall into place quicker for you.

Haas is a weak team if not the weakest. So expecting a lot from the team from season 1 would be a foolish ask.  Have patience and build the team well, You are the Team Principal and you make all the decisions that could create an impact on the game.

Maybe try lower your performance targets maybe try out Qualification Position 15th or Reach Q2 with 1 driver. You would get less money but it’s better than not achieving the non-sensible targets you receive by default.

Manage your finance well, and do not make unnecessary upgrades since you would be tight on cash most of the time. All the best for the journey and I hope you do well.
