Skater XL PC – Error Fixed “Press A to Start” Not Working – USB Controller Error

Skater XL is a huge leap when we talk skateboarding games. The game looks great and the controls appear very smooth and easy. This game gives us the actual thrill of skateboarding on real-world skate spots like the LA Courthouse which is also playable in early access. But somehow the game is plagued with controller-related issues on PC. Lets us see how we can get them fixed.

Skater XL PC -Error Fixed “Press A to Start” Not Working- USB Controller Error

Note –This game REQUIRES an Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, or PS4 compatible controller to play. There are NO keyboard or mouse controls in this game.

A lot of users have reported that they cannot start the game. When they press A (on their controller) to start nothing happens and the game stays on that screen forever. In order to fix this problem we have to unplug every single USB device. This means we have to unplug our mouse and keyboard too or any other device we have. The game has to detect your controller as the only playable USB device connected and only then it will work. This is because the game does not have keyboard and mouse settings. This will fix the issue for most known cases.

In case if the issue persists or if you are facing any other problems you can read this for more details.
