What is the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest in Hogwarts Legacy?
Hogsmeade is an all-wizarding village and we have read in the Harry Potter books that the witches and wizards were allowed to make weekend trips to the village with a permit signed by their parents or guardians. We also know that the Hogwarts Express leaves the King Cross station and arrives at the Hogsmeade station.
In Hogwarts Legacy, Hogsmeade will be a very important place. The place hosts a number of shops from where you could buy ingredients for your potions and other stuff. You also have a broom shop where you can upgrade or buy new brooms. There are also shops you can own in Hogsmeade as well.
The Haunted Shop Quest in Hogsmeade involves Madam Mason who is selling a shop to you as she had some bad luck with the last tenants. However, you find out that the shop is haunted and mysterious. This is the extent to which we know about the quest as of now.
When will PC and Xbox Users be able to play the Haunted Shop Quest in Hogsmeade?
The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest is a PlayStation exclusive. This basically means that only users who own a PS5 or a PS4 will be able to play this quest at launch. Hogwarts Legacy seems to have a special contract with Sony.
They are providing PS users a little bit more than what the users from other platforms are getting from the game. This includes the quest we are talking about and the recipe for the Felix Felicis potion.
This quest also gives you:

- Shopkeeper’s Cosmetic Set
- In-game Hogsmeade shop
Now the sad part is that Xbox and PC users will not be able to get these items as well as they are specifically linked with the quest.

The answer is no, Xbox and PC users will be able to play this quest but only after a year from launch. This means that the quest will be available on other platforms on the 10th of February 2024.
The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest will remain a PlayStation exclusive till the 10th of February 2024. After that other platforms will be able to play this quest. They will also get the items mentioned above after they complete the quest.
This is an extremely long wait considering it is only a single-player game. I wish they have a lot of expansions and DLCs to keep us engaged for a year or more.
