Confused about why FIA World Rally Championship 10 keeps crashing on your system? We are here to get it fixed easily.

WRC 10 PS4 PS5 – Crashing and Freezing | Error FIX

WRC 10 is finally out on all major platforms. The game celebrates its 50th anniversary with an incredible new event in the game that would make you love the game even more. Improved visuals and gameplay mechanics make this game even better than its previous installment.

However, quite a few PlayStation users have complained about the game randomly crashing on their consoles- PS4 and PS5. Although it is difficult to understand the exact reason for it we can certainly get the problem fixed with a few easy steps which I would like you to follow.

Make sure the system software and the game is updated

In the console menu go to Settings >> System Software Update.

This will look for any recent software updates that you might have missed.

Other than this we have other reasons why a game could suddenly crash on your PlayStation

  • Cached data
  • Corrupted Save Files
  • Database Errors

Removing Cached Data (PS4 and PS5)

All you need to do is turn off the console and take all the plugs out. Leave it unplugged for 5 minutes. This clears out all the Cached data

Deleting Corrupt Saves (PS4)

Corrupt saves are the most common reasons for a game to crash on your PlayStation console. Since we cannot identify which save file could be corrupted we might have to remve all of them. You will lose all local content but you would not lose anything online. This is how you do it.

Settings >> Storage>> Saved Data

Now you have to select the game you want like WRC 10 and then press the Options button on the controller. Then choose all the saved files and press Delete

This will remove all the local save files and might fix the problem.

Database Error Solving (PS4 and PS5) :

If that does not solve the issue then it could probably be database errors. Database errors simply mean that the console cannot pull up the required data for the app we use. It may take a while to access all the data since it is not arranged properly or if it fails to access them the game would just crash leaving you an Error message. In simple terms, we are going to re-arrange the data.

Turn off the console and then press and hold the power button until you hear two beeps. This is when you let go and the console boots up in Safe Mode. Now connect the controller to the USB and press the PS button.  From the options, you get n the screen select Rebuild Database. This would take some time depending on the amount of data in your storage device.

Reinstalling the game could also fix the problem. At times all we need is a fresh download and installation. These steps would be enough to help you fix any crash-related issues with WRC 10 on your PS4 and PS5. I hope this guide was useful. Do let us know in the comment section below.
