WWE 2K22 – How to Fix Screen Tearing
WWE 2K22 is finally out on all platforms. The game is such an improvement over its previous title. Better visuals, smoother gameplay more game modes. Even though the roster is not the best one but I believe 2K would be making up for it with the upcoming DLCs for this game.
However, the game did come out with its share of bugs and technical issues. One of them is Screen Tearing. So many users complain about their screen tearing which is really annoying when you are in the middle of a match.
How to Fix the problem :
We are here to get this Screen Tearing issue fixed once and for all. Before we jump into the fix let me explain why you are having Screen Tearing in the first place.
This is a screenshot of the in-game Graphics Settings of WWE 2K22. As you can see quite clearly that there is no option for V-Sync or Vertical Synchronization. This is pretty dumb from a franchise like 2K. Sports games and fighting games like this one needs to have V Sync to make the gameplay more smooth. This is exactly the reason for Screen Tear.
The only way to fix this at the moment is by following the steps I am about o show you. It fixed the issue for many users and it would certainly fix it for you too.
Nvidia Users :
This is what you need to do if you own an Nvidia card
- Right Click on your Desktop and then select NVIDIA Control Panel
- Now go to the Program Settings tab on the top
- Under the option Select a Program to Customize you need to click on Add and then Select WWE 2K22
- Scroll down to Vertical Sync
- The Option might be Off or maybe Use Global Setting (Use 3D Application Setting)
- You have to manually turn this to ON
The game will now have V-Sync and the Screen Tearing will be permanently fixed. However, the overall FPS will be reduced to a stable number. If you do not have a problem with that go ahead and follow the steps.
AMD Users :
If you are a Radeon user then follow these steps :
- Open the Radeon Settings
- Select the Gaming Tab
- Select WWE 2K22
- Click on the option that says “Wait for Vertical Refresh“. It will have a drop-down arrow.
- Now select “Always On“
Once you turn the V Sync on the game should run smoothly without any Screen Tear. If the issue still persists then the best bet would be to have patience. You might have to wait for a Patch Fix from the developers. However, for the time being, this should logically fix the problem.
