Bandai Namco has kept teasing us with multiple Dragon Ball Sparking Zero trailers, leaving fans curious about when the game officially comes out.

I have always been a fan of the Dragon Ball anime. Playing Budokai Tenkaichi as a kid was a memory I would cherish forever. I remember how addicted I was to Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and since then I had played so many Dragon Ball games but none could stand up to BT3.
Maybe because I had this soft corner for the series. However, it was last year when Bandai teased us with a new Budokai Tenkaichi game. This year we received several trailers for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero but they never really gave us a confirmation on a release date.
Yes, we still have no clue when the game comes out but some predictions should be able to convince you that we do not have to wait long.
When Will Dragon Ball Sparking Zero / Budokai Tenkaichi 4 Release?
Bandai has always followed a pattern regarding releasing Dragon Ball games. The announcement trailer for Xenoverse 2 was uploaded in May 2016 and the game was released in December that year. For Xenoverse 1 the Announcement was made in June 2014 and the game was released in February 2015.
Budokai Tenkaichi 4 was teased back in March 2023 and Sparking Zero Announcement was made in December 2023. They also dropped a new Master and Apprentice Trailer on the 30th of April. So it is safe to say that they are almost done with the development of the game and it is a matter of time before they release.
If you ask me, I would guess Fall of 2024 should be the time when Dragon Ball Sparking Zero officially comes out. But this is just a prediction.
Another reason why the game would not come out in 2025, is the fact that we have a GTA 6 release. Now we all know how huge that game is. If Bandai knows what is good for business I don’t think competing with Rockstar would be a good move.
Also, we lost Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball in 2024. There would be some emotional urgency for the company to release a Dragon Ball game in the same year. Now don’t get me wrong here. Maybe a Dragon Ball game could bring some sign of relief to the broken hearts of millions of fans.
