Starfield is a one of a kind game that focuses on Space Exploration. We all know how detailed the Bethesda RPGs could get and Starfield will not be any different.
Like any other typical RPG, your character gets stronger as you progress. There will be a set of skills that you will be learning in the game eventually building up your own style of play.
A skill tree is pretty common for every RPG. However, Starfield makes it a little bit more interesting by including 4 Ranks for each skill.
Here is a guide where we talk about all the known Starfield Skills at the moment.
All Skills in Starfield
As far as we know there are 32 different skills in the game. The numbers might be higher as this news is only based on the information we have gathered from reliable sources so far.
There are 5 categories of skills you will be dealing with:
- Social
- Physical
- Combat
- Tech
- Science
Each of these categories will have a number of skills that you can learn. You get three of them as you start the game. Remember, you can only learn a skill when you fill-up the XP bar and gain a “level up“. So each time you level up you gain a skill point.
Ranking up your existing skills would require you to complete certain challenges related to that particular skill.
Here are all the confirmed skills in Starfield as of now:
Physical | Social | Combat | Science | Tech |
Wellness | Bargaining | Ballistics | Astrophysics | Robotics |
Decontamination | Diplomacy | Dueling | Chemistry | Security |
Neurostrikes | Gastronomy | Demolitions | Outpost Engineering | Payloads |
Weight Lifting | Pistol Certification | Medicine | Boost Pack Training
Persuasion | Marksmanship
Intimidation | Heavy Weapon Certification
Xenasociology | Rapid Reloading
Leadership | Particle Beams
Laser Beams | ||||
Sniper Rifle Certification
Targeting | ||||
Missile Weapon System | ||||
Particle Beam Weapon System |
All of these Skills will have 4 Ranks that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of that skill. In other words, you get stronger when you rank up your Skills.
You cannot learn every skill, so you have to choose wisely. If you love stealth, there is no point in honing your direct Combat Skills. You may have to test out certain playstyles and see which works best for you.
We will also be updating the guide once we get information about more skills that exist in the game.
That is all you need to know about the skills that we know exist so far in Starfield.
