Apex Legends Switch – Game Crashing | How to Fix

We all love Apex Legends and the best thing about it would be the release of this game on the Switch. However, users have been complaining about the game crashing quite a bit. Sometimes they would see an Error Code before the crash. So how do we get it fixed?

Apex Legends Switch – Game Crashing | How to Fix

There could a number of ways in which you can stop Apex from crashing on your Switch. Just follow these simple steps :

 Reboot the Device :

The software on the Nintendo Switch is generally stable and rebooting the device fixes most of the problems. Hence go on, turn the console off for a few minutes and then turn it back on again.

Clearing the Cache :

System Cache could very well be the reason for a game to crash. In order to clear that just do the following :

  • Go to System Settings
  • Scroll down and select System
  • Then go right and scroll down to the bottom
  • Select Formatting Options
  • Hit on Reset Cache. Select the profile and then hit Reset

Check for Corrupt Data :

Corrupt data is another reason why a game could keep crashing. Hence we need to check and see if the game has any corrupted data or not.

  • Go to System Settings
  • Scroll down and select Data Management
  • Then go right and select Manage Software
  • Select the game. For this case, we select Apex Legends
  • Then we click on Check for Corrupt Data

Moving the game to another Storage :

At times games installed on a Micro SD card would crash for no reason. Moving to internal storage might do the trick. To do that just uninstall the game from the Micro SD card and install it again to the internal Storage. In order to do it the other way around you need to do these steps :

  • Select the  System Settings option
  • Scroll down and select Data Management
  • Then on the right look for  Manage Software
  • Select  Apex Legends and select Archive Software
  • Now on the home page, you would find the game with a little cloud icon on top. You will have to download it now. If you do that it will get stored in the Micro SD

Hopefully, these steps should be able to fix any crash-related problems with Apex Legends on your Nintendo Switch. Enjoy the game.
