Dragon’s Dogma 2 – Best Graphics Settings Performance Guide

It has been 12 years since Dragon Dogma’s release and we finally have a sequel. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an action role-playing video game developed and published by Capcom and is out on all major platforms.

Users have already started experiencing performance issues on PC because of how graphically intense the game could be at times. If you are one of them, there is nothing to worry as we have you covered.

We are going to discuss the best graphics settings for Dragon’s Dogma 2 and how these settings can be tweaked without having a lot of impact on performance.

Graphics Settings for Dragon’s Dogma 2 to increase Performance and Reduce Lag and Stuttering

It is easy to set everything on LOW and get maximum performance. But that would only reduce the visual greatness of this game to its minimum. I mean the game is extremely impressive graphically and we certainly do not want it to look all washed out.

So here are the best graphics settings for Dragon’s Dogma 2 that would give you smooth performance as well as decent visuals.

Display and Graphics Settings:

  • Display Mode: Full Screen
  • Screen Resolution: Native resolution
  • Refresh Rate: Default
  • Frame Rate: Max 120 Fps
  • Vertical Synchronization: Off (Always keep it off for max fps and minimum input delay)
  • Dynamic Resolution: Off (We do not want the game to keep changing its resolution)
  • DLSS Super Resolution: Quality (Use either Balanced or Quality. DLSS will upscale a lower resolution to your current resolution and increase your performance. I got around 12-15 fps boost when I used DLSS Quality and the game looked the same)
  • NVIDIA DLSS Reflex Low Latency: Off ( You won’t need this if you have Vsync set to off)
  • Upscale Sharpness: Max
  • Ray Tracing: Off (Has the highest impact on performance. Set it to Off.)
  • Ambient Occlusion: SSAO
  • Screen Space Reflections: On
  • Mesh Quality: Mid
  • Texture Filtering: High (ANISO x8)
  • Texture Quality: High (1GB or 2GB) (Increase according to your VRAM. Performance is not affected as long as you have enough VRAM)
  • Grass/Tree Quality: Low/Mid (I got an 8 FPS difference between Low and Medium)
  • Resource Intense Effects Quality: Mid
  • Shadow Quality: Low / Mid (Has a huge impact on performance. It gave me an 8-10 FPS boost going Mid to Low.)
  • Shadow Cache: On
  • Contact Shadows: On
  • Motion Blur: Off
  • Bloom: Off
  • Depth of Field: On
  • Lens Flare: On
  • Lens Distortion: Off
  • Subsurface Scattering: On
  • Motion Quality: High

You need to play around with the settings a bit to see what works best for you and to find that sweet spot. It all depends on what you are comfortable with.
