Dragunov is one of my favorite Tekken characters. Even though he was not top-tier in the last game, Bandai ensured he was overpowered in Tekken 8. The dude has crazy plus frames that you could achieve with minimal effort.
He is arguably S-tier at the moment, perhaps as long as the balance patches start coming. His While Running 2 is one of his best pressure tools and undoubtedly the best running move in the game.
Tekken 8 allows you to get a Blue Spark version of Dragunov’s WR 2 as well. If you are wondering how we are here to help you out.
How to do DRAGUNOV’s Blue Sparks WR2 in Tekken 8
Before we hop into the guide, let’s quickly revise the input for his regular WR2
It is just a running move so: FFF 2 (F is Forward and 2 is RP)
The Blue Sparks version gives you more chip damage on block and we all know how important chip damage is in this game.
To do this move you need to make sure that the 2nd and 3rd forward input along with 2 is done within 8 frames.
Here is a picture that shows a wrong and a correct Blue Spark WR2 input. The first forward input is not important. We count the frames from the second forward input to the one where we press f2.
- In the first picture, we have 1+6 (neutral)+3+ 1(assuming 1 frame for input. I held the button for 26 frames, that is why it shows 26.) = 11 frames which is late.
- In the second picture, 1+4 (neutral)+1+1(assuming 1 frame for input) = 7 frames and that is within the 8 frame limit. Therefore we get the blue spark.
Just make sure you press the second and third forward input very quickly along with the 2 inputs. The last forward and 2 should be pressed simultaneously. There is no easy way to do this, so you need to practice a lot.
Well, that should be all on “How to do DRAGUNOV’s Blue Sparks WR2 in Tekken 8“.
