Brutalities were first introduced back in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. It was not until MKX that Brutalities were changed into round enders and looked similar to Fatalities.
Every character has their own set of Brutalities that you unlock as you level up with them in Mortal Kombat 1. These are mentioned in the Moves List under the Finisher section. However, the game does not tell about the alternate or hidden versions of Brutalities for certain characters.
Today we are going to talk about Scorpion’s hidden or secret Brutality in MK1 and how you can do it.
How to do Scorpion SECRET BRUTALITY in Mortal Kombat 1 (MK1)
The Brutality we are talking about here unlocks very early in the character Mastery for Scorpion. You just need to reach level 3 to unlock the “Choke on it” Brutality and you can do that in just 3-4 match wins online.
It is one of my favorite Scorpion Brutalities and having a secret or hidden version of it is like an icing on the cake. The regular one chokes the opponent until the head gets twisted. However, the alternate variation completely rips off the head from the body and looks much cooler.
Here is how you can do it:
Normal Input:
The last move should be Fire Drop (Scorpion’s Regular Throw).
Press the Throw Button– then tap Forward>Down>Back>Up (instantly).
Basically, you are doing a circle starting from the right and going clockwise on the D-pad.
Hidden or Secret Brutality Input:
Press the Throw Button– then tap Forward>Down>Back>Up (instantly) followed by holding the Block and Stance Switch buttons at the same time.
Throw, FDBU, Block + Stance Switch
Here is how to do it on different consoles:
- PlayStation: L1, instantly after input tap FDBU, then hold L2+R2
- Xbox: LB, instantly after input tap FDBU, then hold LT+RT
- Switch: L, instantly after input tap FDBU, then hold ZR+ZL
- Keyboard: Throw, instantly after input tap FDBU, then hold Block + Stance Switch
There you go, that is all on “How to do Scorpion SECRET BRUTALITY in Mortal Kombat 1 (MK1)”
