- You need to Salvage Legendary Weapons only in order to have a chance of getting a Baleful Fragment.
- The drop rate is pretty low and it depends on the Item Power. The higher the power the better the chance of a Baleful Fragment drop. Make sure the item power is above 450 to have an improved chance of getting these if you are below 40. If above 40 you might want to salvage weapons with power above 550. 600+ for level 50 and above.
- If you are playing in World Tier 3 Nightmare, then you might have a very low chance of an enemy randomly dropping this item.
- World Events and World Bosses also drop this item but it is rare.
