These items are the rarest to find in the game and could easily offer you amazing results if used correctly.
The Razorplate Chest Armor is a Unique Item that grants you nothing but Thorns. Yes, just Thorns, but a million of them. Thorns are basically spikes attached to your armor or shields that deal an amount of damage back at the enemy when they hit you.
It does not provide you immunity of any sort but is just a way to get some passive damage on the enemies. Useful for classes like Barbarian and Druid, the squishy ones normally do not benefit much from it. You can still use thorns as a Necromancer, but that needs to be with your minions mostly.
The Razorplate gives you thousands of thorns based on the item level. It can easily go above 10,000 thorns if it is above level 75. Some classes have passives that help them with Thorn management and damage. So if you are looking for a good way to stay alive while being AFK, this is your armor. However, getting this Chest Piece is not as easy as you think.
This is what you need to do:
- The Razorplate is an Ancestral Unique Chest Piece. So you won’t be getting it if you are still grinding in World Tier 3 or below. You need to move up to World Tier 4 in order to get Ancestral weapons.
- The best way to get this item would be from World Tier 4 Nightmare Dungeons above Tier 25. The drops in this game are pretty much based on RNG but the chances of Unique items improve as you go higher up the Nightmare Dungeon Tier Level. There are a hundred of them and the best uniques are normally found from Tier 25 and above.
- World Bosses tend to drop better items than the ones in the Dungeons. Although you could end up getting one of these from a Nightmare Dungeon Event Chest.
There is no specific location in the game as of now where you might have a better chance of getting the Razorplate. Therefore all you can do is grind and pray.
