How to Win Every Race in F1 Manager 2022

Struggling with races in F1 Manager 2022? Even with the best cars and the best drivers? Well, you have come to the right place. I will tell you how you could easily win all the races in F1 Manager 2022.

How to Win Every Race in F1 Manager 2022

F1 Manager 2022 is the official racing management simulation game of the 2022 Formula One, Formula 2, and Formula 3 Championships developed by Frontier Development.  It is the first installment since the licensed manager game called F1 Manager by EA Sports.

The game features intricate details on every aspect of being a team leader. You have critical decisions to make on and off the tracks. The level of detail they have put into this game is absolutely stunning.

Well, let’s say you need to have knowledge about the basics of F1 racing before you can hop into the game. If you have randomly decided to play this game you may have a tough time trying to figure out every little technical stuff that goes on.

Strategy to Win Races in F1 Manager 2022 :

If you are new and still trying to figure out how you could win races then you have come to the right place. I know how frustrating it could be when you are using teams like Ferrari and Red Bull and still cannot win races.

Well, races are not always about the fastest car wins. It depends a lot on strategies like which tires you would use when to unleash DRS when to make pit stops and a lot more. It’s more than just the driver and the car that wins races. I would say the entire crew is equally involved.

We will talk about the most crucial things you need to keep in mind when racing :

Tyre Management and Pit Stops :

More than anything else the tires and pit stops could be the most important thing you could focus on if you need wins. You only have a set of Soft, Medium, Hard, Intermediate and Wet Tyres to work through entire practice sessions and the race.

Soft Tyres are faster tires and they help in pushing aggressively. But they wear out quickly and then lack speed. Intermediate tires are used for damp tracks where you have a little rain. Wet Tyres are the ones you would use in rain.

Weather conditions matter a lot. A race may start off on a damp track and end on a dry one.  Softs, Mediums, and Hards are dry surface tires. Check out the weather forecast and see if it is supposed to rain on race day. If yes, then save your Wets for race day and use your Softs for qualifying.

Pit Stops are basically you stopping for your crew to make changes to your car like changing the tires. A pit stop takes away 20-25 secs of your time and you are allowed 1-3 stops. However, the laps following the Pit stop should always be done aggressively if you want to make up for the lost time.

Pit Stops should be timed correctly. A very common Pit Stop would be when you have a Safety Car on the track. Or when your tires are worn out. Or maybe during a weather change. The timing could literally win you races.

Undercut and Overcut Strategies :

It seems like the Undercut strategy works like a charm in the F1 Manager 2022. Yup, it is the most effective strategy you could use in the game. The opponent, however, does not even try to overcut which is a bit strange but it is a game at the end of the day.

For the ones who do not know, Undercut is when you Pit your car before the opponent ahead of you and put on fresh tires. You would lose out 20-25 seconds of your time and fall behind him. This is not actually a bad thing as you could literally go aggressive during this point and close down the gap between you and your opponent while he still drives on weaker tires.

Ultimately when he Pits his car you would get that extra 20 seconds to go way ahead of him when he is back on track. This strategy is called Undercut and it works like a charm in F1 Manager 2022.

Overcut is the opposite where your opponent pushes aggressively while you are in the Pit to make sure he does not lose out on the lead when you come back on the track and he goes to the pit. However, in the game, the drivers do not try to do that for some reason, and Undercut works out fine.

There could be a lot more strategies you could build while racing. Real-time strategies are what you need to do well in this game. I am just highlighting one of them that works brilliantly. Try to use this strategy more often and you would see yourself winning.

Now the thing is, does this guarantee you a win in every race? Well, yes if you could time it correctly. Also, you need to know when to go aggressive and when to play safe. The Undercut is not the only way to win. It is a way that depends on your Pit stop timing. However, it is one of the most effective strategies in the game at the moment.
