Mortal Kombat 1 (MK1)- Best Keyboard Button Setup / Bindings

Mortal Kombat 1 is finally out on all major platforms and the game is fantastic. The combat feels so satisfying, especially with all the well-defined animations.

Fighting games feel the best when played with controllers and keyboards are generally not considered ideal. However, plenty of users out there play these games on a keyboard and are really good at it.

In this guide, we will be helping you with the best Keyboard Bindings or Button Setup for Mortal Kombat 1.

Mortal Kombat 1 (MK1)- Best Keyboard Button Setup / Bindings

When you set up the perfect configuration for the keyboard you need to make sure that every important button is within your reach. There are plenty of ways you can assign moves on the keyboard not every setup would be equally efficient.

I have been playing fighting games for years on a keyboard and if you are struggling to get a good enough Keyboard Setup for MK1, use the one that I am about to show you.

Go to Settings>Kontrols

  • Front Punch: A
  • Back Punch: S
  • Front Kick: D
  • Back Kick: F
  • Throw: Left Shift
  • Block: Space
  • Kameo: Caps Lock
  • Shift Stance: Tab
  • Jump: Up Arrow
  • Duck: Down Arrow
  • Move Left: Left Arrow
  • Move Right: Right Arrow

Mortal Kombat 1 has a lot of moves that require multiple directional inputs. Therefore I have kept my directional config on the arrow keys.

If you want to switch the direction to WSAD, then make these changes:

  • Front Punch: H
  • Back Punch: J
  • Front Kick: K
  • Back Kick: L
  • Throw: I
  • Block: Space
  • Kameo: O
  • Shift Stance: U
  • Jump: W
  • Duck: S
  • Move Left: A
  • Move Right: D

At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference. I cannot force my control on you. However, you can go ahead and give it a try and see if this works. Being comfortable with the setup is the key.

That is all you need to know on “Mortal Kombat 1 (MK1)- Best Keyboard Button Setup / Bindings
