Mortal Kombat 1(MK1)- FIX “The Game Session Has Desynchronized”

Imagine you are dominating someone in the Kombat League and suddenly the game disconnects leaving you a message that says “The game session has desynchronized“.

I know how annoying it can be since every time you play a game in Mortal Kombat 1 Online, the game disconnects you from the server. Online mode was fine during the early access but somehow, everything messed up after the official launch.

However, we did manage to find a fix to this.

Mortal Kombat 1(MK1)- FIX “The Game Session Has Desynchronized”

Now if you do not know what the message means, let me tell you that it is nothing but a disconnection from the server. Apparently, this happens when you lose sync with the server. In a fighting game, an out-of-sync match is the worst thing that can happen. Therefore the game automatically throws you out of the server leaving you an error message.

This is mostly happening to users whenever they Rematch their opponents. If you are lucky enough to get passed that Rematch point, the server will desynchronize the moment you do a special move.

Is there a Fix?

Well, this is a problem with the game, and there needs to be a patch fix to this. There is no official fix at the moment. However, until they roll out the patch you could try this step which seems to have fixed the problem for most users.

  • Type Firewall in the Desktop Search bar.
  • Click on the Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security.
  • Go to Inbound Rules
  • Now select the option, New Rule
  • Select Program click Next and
  • Now add the MK12.exe file from the Steam game folder.
  • Select Allow the Connection and click on Next
  • Check mark Private, Domain, and Public.
  • Name it as MK1 and click on Finish
  • Repeat the same steps for Outbound Rules

Hopefully, this should fix the issue. If it does not, I will just have to ask you to be patient and wait for the patch.
