Need For Speed Unbound- How to Turn OFF Driving Effects, Wings, and Markers

Are you finding the Graffiti Style Driving Effects of NFS Unbound annoying?

Well, this guide will help you know how to remove these effects permanently.

Need For Speed Unbound- How to Turn OFF Driving Effects, Wings, and Markers

NFS Unbound is perhaps one of the best Need For Speed games that I have played in a while. It has been a while since NFS games had really created any sort of impact on me. It felt dull and boring, especially with limited customizations.

However, Need For Speed Unbound does things differently. The first major change that you would find is in the new graffiti art style for characters and effects.

Well, as appealing as it could be for users like me, a part of the community just cannot tolerate these cartoonish effects in an intense racing game. If you ask me, I love it. It brings a sort of freshness to the game.

The markers and graffiti effects kind of give you the street vibe. But, not every user looks at it the same way. Some are just fans of the regular effects we had up til now. And, if you are wondering if there is a way to turn these off completely, sad to say there isn’t.

However, there is a way in which you can reduce these effects to a bare minimum.

How to Remove Driving Effects Tag from NFS Unbound:

Let’s say you are only given a limit to what you could remove when it comes to these art style effects. There is absolutely no way you could turn it off from the game options.

So how would you do it?

The developers thought that some users may want to go for a much cleaner simpler view of the game. These effects could be distracting enough for some people. So the devs have given us a unique Driving Effects Tag which gives you almost what you are looking for.

Go to Rides>Style>Driving Effects>Tags

Now, look for the Tag called “Cloaked”.

Once you equip this Tag, you will no longer see the Wing effects or the annoying Markers and Symbols above your car. However, you will not be able to take away the smoke effect.

I personally do not think it will be that big of an issue as long as you can get a clean drive without any extra graffiti effects around your car. The most that the Cloaked tag does is to make your car blink white when you crash or drift and that is it.

This is how you can actually turn off the Driving Effects in Need For Speed Unbound.
